Done a search and can't find nothin, but I'm wondering if I have a cherry picker and a small garage, is it easier to yank the engine (just the engine...no reason to pull the tranny) out from the top or bottom? I wanna pull the engine and do some machine work over the winter, but I don't wanna go through the hassle of dropping the subframe and pulling all that crap apart.....

..also, if this is the case, I wouldn't have to unhook anything but certain electrical connections, the tranny and motor mounts, correct?

Thanks in advance.

it all falls out the bottom easy, or comes out the top, it all sucks either way.

So it'd prolly be easier for me to just disconnect the engine from the tranny and pop it out the top instead of having to unhook all my suspension, tranny, subframe bolts and lift the car high enough to pull everything?

to remove the engine without the trans, youll still have to seperate the 2. so youll be doing a lot of work and not saving any time. the engine and trans pulls from the top easily(after youve disconnected every connector and hose), as well as it drops easily from the bottom.

Okay, but my situation is I've got a REALLY small garage and don't have the capabilities or tools to lift the car far enough off the ground to pull the engine out from underneath the car. That's why I was wondering....I know it's gonna be a pain in the azz either way I go.....
