Sometime Thursday night my SHO (green ATX) was hit and run while parked in front of my house by the corner Eastern and Hancock. I used to park it in the grass, but I got a ticket for "Parking on the Parkway", so now I park it in the road (Hancock). Anyways they hit it hard and the cosmetic damage is undeniable. It was a GM vehicle as far as I can tell from the part number found on a 3/4" x 4" amber light of some kind (1996-16522615, LH).
I thought it was just going to be one more dent to pop out from this crappy neighborhood (and replace the turn signal etc); the suspension seemed alright. I swept the road in front of it a little to avoid further damage to my tires (there were a LOT of broken headlight pieces from the other car), and began to roll it forward so I could see if there were fluids leaking underneath it. Almost instantaneously there was a loud POP followed by the front left corner of the car dropping to the ground. Further investigation revealed that the metal edge of the wheel well is now resting on the edge of the tire. Pictures to follow.
So depending on how the thing looks when I get it in the air, I may be needing suspension parts.
