when its warm, my 89 sho starts right up and drives fine instantly. when its cold, it starts right up, but will go down to a 600RPM idle and stutter a bit. when I try to drive right off the bat it has a severe hesitation no matter how much/little gas I give it. I let it warm up for 7 min and its fine (unless I gun it, then it shakes a bit, but thats pretty normal for a cold, 14 yr old car). in warm weather none of this happens. also, after a warm up time the idle reurns to normal also.

also, currently I have a 55mm MAf and a 75mm Throttle body. engine is bored out, and a hi flow exaughst. could the 55maf be hindering the ability of the much bigger parts? perhaps limitng the fuel goin in, thus creating stutter/hesitation?

The drop in your rpms to 600... Have you had your battery disconnected lately? Your sho may need to have the computer reset (relearn the idle,etc.). sdpatt listed the procedure in other posts.
As far as

this is normal for our 12+ year old shos. This also was talked about in another thread awhile back.

luigisho:
Where did you get a 75mm throttle body?
dunno, the guy who had the sho before me put it on. he had a 75 mm MAF too, but a shop replaced with a 55mm by mistake.
