nearly always when there is significant oil in the plug wells, the plugs and wires are destroyed by the shorting that happens through the oil. the solution is to change the valve cover gaskets so the leaking is stopped, then replace plugs and wires.

How many miles? My SHO had bad Tube Seals a(Only in front, weird?!?!) but they sat in oil for the first 8 months I owned the car(Who knows how long before that) and never had a problem with missfires. It sounds like a fuel delivery issue to me. Cause he said it ran bad at about 6k one day then he cleaned the tubes and it ran fine now it doesn't run at all. Sounds like a possible fuel pump issue, or a clogged filter/lines. He said it had a fresh 60k front on it.

It has 180,000 miles. My front tube seals are far worst than the back ones to, go figure. I was kinda wondering the same thing because my 93 sho had the same tube seal leaking but I never did anything about it at all, and never had this issue. It only leaked in the tubes and about a quart and a half per oil change and I never had any ignition problems... I figured o well maby this one it did cause a problem.. im going to change the wires first on the off chance that its that because I really dont want to drop the fuel tank.
