help!!!

Tonight i was driving and my trans felt a little funny in first and second gear i stoped by a friends house and when i left the trany felt like it was ganna fall out as soon as i let the clutch out it makes a load bang well i pulled into the gass station and the rpms were stuck around 4 or 5 grand and the pedal was all the way out so i shut it off and poped the hood and i heard the weird load hissing sound coming from the passenger side near the back of the engine and nothing was leaking out i let it sit for a couple min. and started it back up and it now idles at like 3 grand and the bang got worse when i let the clutch out does anyone know what can be wrong??? i dont have the money to take it to the dealership for them to figure out whats wrong

low oil in trans it got hot and rolled the teeth on the input shaft over where the dont contact anymore and that is why it idles fast becuase it is turning less inside the trans now . sorry but that is what it sounds that happend if it is you need a new tranny.

i hope thats not it i only have like 300 bucks right now and the trany shop wants over a grand

they are on ebay for 250 to 450 bucks all the time and are easy to change . i just got a 5 speed car and had the motor out in 5 hours by myself no air tools and did not break anything . the easy way to change the trans is to put a bar over the fenders and chain the motor to it make sure you chain the bar to the strut tower or it will try to roll forward then drop subframe tilt motor down and take trans out pretty simple huh.
