I just tried to change my air filter, what the heck?! How do you go about getting the filter out? I only had like 1.5 inches of clearance once I have the clamps undone and the filter housing open as far as it would go. Come on SHO gurus, I need assistance..

I don't recall having much difficulty when I checked my filter. Did you loosen the hose clamps for the throttle body so that you can slide the filter housing towards the engine to unhook it?

Um yeah, I didn't have trouble...
You'll want to get in there to suck out any debris with a shop vac anyway. I had a bunch of road stuff/crap/sand in mine on the intake side of the filter.
