You broke the ignition switch. If it's similar to the Gen I/II's you just turn the key to the on position. Take a small screwdriver and poke it through the hole in the bottom. This will allow removal of the switch for repair or replacement. This is all assuming that the setup is similar to the older generation cars however.

I kinda had that same problem with mine. The difference was the ign cyl was lose and everytime I hit a bump or hit the keys with my leg the car would shut off. So, I made my keychain a bit lighter so it would not shut off so easily.

Ok guys, Ive been trying to remove the ignition for about 20 minutes, got a small screw-driver, Poked it through the small hole, worked it a little...still wouldent come out ( Key in the On position), Called the lock smith, He told me to do the same thing, Still wouldent come out, I guess I will be calling a locksmith to come over here and fix it...Oh well, Thanks for your help guys.

Oh common Spaz, don't give up that easy. I found it easier to use an allen wrench to put up in the hole to push on the gizmo inside to release the cylinder. It really isn't that hard, wish I was closer...I'd come to give you a hand.

Actually it works easier if you push up with the allen wrench, release pressure on the allen wrench, then pull out the cylinder.
