help: car quits and then hard to start

I need help:

91 SHO

there have been four instances where my SHO has quit running, and then had trouble starting.

One time I was driving slow and it quit -- took about 1 minute before it would start again.

Another time, same story at about 50 mph

third time, also 50 mph, took 1 hour before it would start.

4th time, car was parked, and would not start when I returned. Tried again 1 hour later and it started on 1st crank.

This problem doesn't seem to depend on fuel level
Starter is new last year.
Also, when the car quits, there is no warning. It runs perfectly smooth, and then simply shuts off.

You might check and see what kind of voltage is coming out of your alternator.

Won't be the alt. otherwise it would't start 10 days later let alone one hour.

When it stall crank the motor and check for the tach to registar at or above 300 rpm. If not bad CPS, if so possible other ignition related component so check for spark at the plugs if you have spark at the plugs then its time to look at a fuel related problem such as fuel pump.

Check the cam sensor too. Mine would do that too if i was driving around town cuz the motor runs hotter in town. I let it sit 30 to 60 minutes and it would start.
