My factory system is acting up. Whenever the radio is on the speakers will go in and out and make a noise everytime the volume button is used. But sometimes when the cd player is on nothing is wrong. At first i thought it was the speakers. Can someone give me an idea of what to do?

Do you have the JBL system with the cd player? It's probably a dirty switch, or it could be something with the ignition column. I had a friend that this happened to, and if he would move the key around enough, that would fix it. Does it help to move your key around while the radio is on?

I do have the the jbl cd player. I will try that today. But what switch are you refering to being dirty?

Its the amp/powersupply/receiver thats located in the trunk. Cold solder joints are common....
