I've got a '14 Limited as a daily driver and considering picking up a 2018-19 SHO. I posted a question about timing chains, so feel free to chime in if you have any input. Thanks in advance for welcoming me into the community!

They can be an issue. Some manage to last longer but if it was my daily I would look at a good guesstimate interval reading many posts and plan this into operating maintenance. These are much more complex ( awd and TT) than n/a vehicles and have wear and part failure issues that will be outside what one might expect from a n/a vehicle. You are already looking at weaknesses (to include PTU and turbo potential issues in addition to timing chain and H2O pump) so you will be informed to make a decision you are comfortable with. Could it be trouble free for years? Sure. You could also try to get an extended warranty to cover certain issues. Cost:benefit (smiles per mile vs maintenence/repair), risk:reward however you want to think about it should be included with every vehicle purchase.
