Recently I noticed a coolant smell coming from my car. I found the hose to be a hose on the driver-side of the car near the thermastat. Can anyone tell me the name of this hose or where I can get it. Its only a part of rubber, then it goes to metal and goes somewhere to the passenger side of the car, maybe to the heater core?

ok i looked at it closer, it looks like it loops down, and goes to the firewall. I think there is some kind of two wire sensor that is screwed to the hose.

Discontinued part from ford. What I did was cut the compression fittings off of the metal length (where the sensor is), and replaced the factory rubber with bulk heater hose.

Ditto....
I did the same. I just bypassed/pulled the hard lines for the heater core, as mine took a dump early on.
not the best pic, but you get the idea.

wow u did ******** there. Well I got everything on and it seems to hold coolant for now. All I did was use a dremel and carefullly cut the aluminum crimp and slipped a 4 inch piece of rubber hose on there. But I guess whatever does the trick. Like all things with the SHO its a pain in the A$$ to work on them!
