Is it possible to seal a leak in the heater core? I have added a couple of the aluminum shavings and it has helped, but not stopped the smell, or at times the fogging of windows! I replaced the core in my 90 MTX and now have a 92 MTX, but that was a horrible job. It seemed as though I had to take the whole blasted car apart to replace the last one.

Thanks,
Gregor

And you'll be taking apart this time, also, to fix it properly.

Plus, you'll likely have to fix issues which may be caused by the stop-leak products..
