After the long road getting my 92 mtx back to life, I have run into a SLOW AC refrigerant leak in the evaporator core. Did not show up with dye, but a sniffer detected it. Honestly, I have zero interest in replacing the evap core. System held for about a month or so. Not usually my style, but considering a stop leak product. Red Angel advertises that their product is oil based and does not harm components. I am skeptical, to say the least. Anyone have knowledge about their products ? Has anyone used them ? Giving some careful thought before proceeding....

Don't have any experience with leak stoppers, but I don't blame you for not wanting to swap the evaporator core. They have to be cut out of the plenum.

yep - just not something I want to get into, nor do I want to spend another $1500 ish to get it done. From my experience, removing and old dash will result in broken fasteners, etc and probably stray rattle or two.
