Not completely sure if this is the corect section to post in, but AC is in here. My heater core is hooped and needs to be replaced. When I went to order a new one (89), I was asked if mine was copper or aluminium? Which one do I order, or is there even a difference between the two?

Also, I'm gonna replace the blower motor while I'm at it. Is Everco a good brand to go with?

That would make sense :nut: They are copper, would the aluminum core fit, or is their a difference?

Ack! Good luck on that job. Labor intensive.
I would go with the copper if that's what the pipes are. What is the reaction when these 2 different metals interact in that environment? Not sure, but with a heater core it ain't a job you'll want to do twice.

When I had the dash out on my old 89, I tried to put a Aluminum heater core in to the case, but was unable to due to the difference in widths, and hight, and how the pipes are bent, so I had to go with the copper core
