I need someone to take look at their driver side headlight adjusters. I had to order some new clips for them after putting everything back together. Now, the question I have - Looka at the top one on the outboard side (closest to the fender) Is it adjustable? Mine has a recessed philips head in there. Now, when at the dealer last week he brought out the only adjuster he had. I was Supposed to be for that postiion. It was just a plastic ball head in the end. Non-adjustable. I have one like that on the passenger side outboard spot (closest to the fender). So i asked him to order the one that was in the system and according to it was still available. He just called, the adjusters are obsolete. He got the clips for me. So does the drivers side only hav 2 adjustments like the pass side or not? The other 2 adjusters use a 4mm (or 5/32) which you guys helped me figure out. I'm even wondering if the adjuster in that spot is supposed to be there since it has been crunched there....

Anyone? Even if you have one off the car with the adjusters on it, so you won't have to go out in the cold. I went and got the new clips today. MAN, those buggers are expensive! Was $18.06 for 4 of them! I'm definetly not going to put one on until I figure out whats up with the adjuster situation. As I can't see a way to remove them w/out breaking them. Once done then I can adjust them on the garage door.

I found an easy way to remove the clips is to put a piece of wire through the hole in the top of them, then pull up on the wire while prying at the sides of the clip gently with a screwdriver. Works every time, clips not bent or deformed :thumb:

That is a bit different, the out board has a hex head. I think I figured out what I'm going to do. Being the thing is so damn hard to turn, I'm going to get the adjuster from the bottom one and have a hex head on the back of it to make it nice and easy. I thought about putting an inboard one on the outboard side like the the above pic, but I wouldn't be able to get on it to adjust it. As you can see there is a releif in the headlight to be able to get on it. I had them all out of the housing themselves, they just turn out. And did some swapping and I think thats going to be my bet bet. I do need a little more adjustment than the "normal" car being it has been crunched.
