Having an Idle Issue

Hey all. Sometimes when I start my car it revs to about 1300 RPMS and then just falls on its face. Sometimes it revs a little high and hangs but its ok.

However, it doesnt matter how the startup goes, I still have this odd issue. When Im driving and im accelerating I have no issue. But, when I let off the gas I have a surge. Im posting two links to videos. One is just the surge while the other is a WOT run to 80.

Clean your maf, I'm having the same problem you are. Give everything a good checking over also

Sounds to me like your IAC is sticky. You can remove it and try to clean it out with some brake cleaner. Just make sure you do the idle reset procedure once it's buttoned back up.

That is the intake air temperature sensor - it used to be mounted inside of the stock airbox.

I think that came out of your airbox. Looks like the air temperature sensor.

ACT sensor measures the air temp going into the engine.

Well whoever put this aftermarket air intake just left this sitting there. Is it that important?

Also, I ended up cleaning out my IAC and my MAF. MAF was okay looking but the IAC basically was pouring out black crap. So I also hit all the electrical connectors with some cleaner and I plugged everything back in. Did the Idle reset process. Didnt work so well. Found out the last owner messed the throttle stop screw. So I played with that and then followed the proceedure..... Shes working great! I took her out for a few normal runs, then some WOT. Idles fine and doest have that surge anymore! Thanks Guys!

Well I thought it was fixed. Now when the car is cold it starts, then goes to idle and sputters and shuts off. I have to hold the throttle for a solid minute and THEN it idles fine..
