harness problem

I have an 89, buy cd player for it ad wireing harness, they tell me I need this thin that gives the amp power to wrk the speakers.[ My dad tells me I can splice some wires on harness to still suplly amp with power. dad is not in town and was wonderig if anyone knows what he as talking about. 2 red wires he said. Please help!

I would suggest going to ABC warehouse or a car audio shop (or maybe talk with Rickie Frat) and buy the harness. It's just safer any way you look at it and you'll be assured to have good connections.

The harness I puchased came with 2 in the kit. One was to hook up there head unit to the power, ground and speakers. The other was to jump the amps power supply and audio input. I never used that one though because I don't use my stock amps anymore.
