I had trouble starting my SHO for about 4 days and at the same time keep getting the batt. light turn on when the fan turns on. So I checked the starter I can see some oil around it. My father was bord so he decided to do oil changes on all of our cars and he had some oil fall on top of it. Could this be my issue that oil around the starter is not letting me start the SHO or is it time to pick a new one? It does have 155k. If I do need a new one what should I look for. I planning to get it from Autozone but if any one has a better place I'm all ears. Just remember that I'm from SOCAL.

Unfortuantely the genius' from Ford decided to put the starter right below the oil filter, so when the oil is changed, oil drips all over the starter. Depending on how old your starter is, that would probably be a good place to start. Did the car begin to have this problem AFTER he changed your oil?

I think I got my starter at either Advanced or Autozone, I think both have a limited lifetime warranty on reman starters

Thanks for the help. It was infact my starter. Picked one up from Kregan for $109. The old one was full of oil. Now to get the rediator fix. The bad thing about changing the started was did not have the proper tools to remove it. The good my wife let me buy a set at SEARS:thumb:
