about 12 bolts and a wee bit of wiggling to get the cluster out then they slide right over the needles but you need to use some sort of adheasive to keep them in place i used double sided tape and as for the wiring it's just a simple power wire and a ground wire. Just hook it up to anything that gets power when the headlight are on. I ran mine of the actual headlight switch.

Is there any way to make the bright circles in the speedo and tach.... not light up?

Lemme know soon... I have a kick *** idea for those gauges and the needles. Think MK4 VW Golf/Jetta/Passat...

*btw* You're low on gas.

i have the cheapish ones off ebay...

i dont have a lot of experience with taking things apart on my sho or anything electrical but i got mine working..

lately they've been crapping out though..i think its the inverter box..i'll be driving along and they'll go dark..but if i turn the dimmer all the way up i can get some white glow through the edges of the gauges and can see them then

i have no idea whats with them..but i still love them..very cheap investment..looks awesome during the day and most of the night..

Im sure you could always use some paint or something to not let the light through

Well there are the Speedhut ones which are the ones I have. They are very good quality and they have good support from Speedhut. You can also design them any way you want. Here are mine:

I will either get these...or just the LED bulb Mod..and change the lights from stock to blue...so they look reversed halo gauges.

This isnt the best but this is all I have. You can get EL Glow or Reverse. You can really get them anyway you want. Check them out.

I just put the same gauges in my car tonight, and I don't get what you're talking about. You take off a few bolts, take a couple of plastic trim off, slide the gauges in and hook up 2 wires.

I changed the needle bulbs to red without taking the cluster out as well, it's not hard at all.

If you can change the air filter, you can do this.
