Saw an all black grille on eBay, description said it was gloss black, unlike the dull black on the cop grille. Has anyone got one of these and if so how is the quality? They are asking a little over $100 for these. I have a cop grille but never installed it mainly because I didn't like the dull black.

If shipping wasn't like $100 I would buy it from you.

IMG 5096What I went with was a grill insert that is a pre fab from a place in Michigan. Basically take the original honeycomb grill and cut out the grill itself, leaving just the frame. Then the new grill simply glues into place and fits rather well. It’s a gloss black metal insert. I didn’t care for the dull black either.

I tried the vinyl wrap approach for a full chrome delete. Am hoping it will hold up or else I will be looking to replace also.

This is my gloss black mesh grille on my 2015. It has the American flag in place of the "ford" logo on it. I love it! Darkens up the front end alot.

That's the nicest looking grille I've seen! The off-center SHO logo is a perfect accent. Can you share where you got it? I have the Ford PI grille and I guess I just threw the original grille away. So apparently I need a factory grille for this mod?

Also, the grille material looks like painted expanded-metal mesh. Is it?

^^simple fix, @Romeo36, can you comment on your grill source.
I can tell you all, I went with the GTG billet, it looks good but completely deletes the grill frame. What I've found is that without the grill frame it does away with some rigidity of the front bumper cover and puts a bit of stress on the bumper cover mounts at the front fenders (causes a bit of sag on the bumper cover). In hindsight, retaining the grill frame would be a plus.

I've got the same grille but am annoyed I can see the silver metal behind it. In this photo, you can see what I'm talking about right behind where you placed the SHO logo. Maybe I should spray paint it black or something... I'd have to get a longer spray nozzle so I can go between the grille openings to get to it. Anyone else do this already?

You're very welcome. FWIW, it's very good quality and mounted without issue. The kit comes with a bracket that gives you the option of mounting the ford emblem and looks very factory. I chose to leave it out.
