I would like to exchange my EATC with a quality unit that will do DVDs, CDs, PStwo, GPS Navigation as well as speed readouts, g-force readings, and other goodies are a must. I am a fan of Pioneer, but if another unit has more features and less cost, that's totally kewl with me. at least a 6" screen would be preferred.

Also, a unit that could record track times would be cool too... IE - Time between waypoints? Never heard of anything like this, but thought it would be cool if it existed. Maybe a laptop connected that could do it?

I can't spend thousands, so I want something decent but not more than the value of my car...

There are cheaper solutions out there is u dont mind looking. My tv was not alot and looks GREAT! IMO best way to go without killing your pocket.

mine is a lilliput 7" touchscreen from china, i paid $298 for it from www.mp3car.com. I had problems with it, tore it down, ended up breaking part of the vga board.I contacted the mfg and the woman who helped me did an excellect job, they repaired it for free even though i opened it up and voided the warranty, all i had to pay was shipping , the rest of the system didnt really cost me anything I built it from spare parts.

If I were to build one for someone the best advice I would give is to use a VIA mini atx board, they are about 1.5 ghz, the size of a cd and all componants are integrated into the board, they sell for about $150

My system consist of a Pioneer AVH-P6600DVD All in one unit with CD/MP3/VCD/DVD 1 input and 1 output(video) and 3 4v RCA outs, Mini PStwo going into a custom dash enclosure with fans. Soon to come are the addon AVIC-90DVD navigation system with european DVD, 2 visor monitors, and 2 headrest monitors. This should be plenty for my 93'. The DVD has been relocated to the EATC spot and looks awesome.
