got lucky..

Sunday I was out getting some groceries and the car started to steer really hard most of the time. It felt like I lost my power steering. Figuring probably pump was bad. Got it limped home after finishing the shopping. Parked it till today when I got the new pump and was driving it to a shop owned buy a guy at church so I could work on the car in a heated garage. Got the car in the shop and finally inspected it closer. Come to find out the p/s belt's tensioner pulley was almost off of its bolt. The nut was gone. I adjusted the tensioner and reinstalled the pulley with a new nut. All works great now. And I got to take that pump back that was costing me my Christmas shopping money.

wish I could of, couldnt' get off of work unfortunately. Will try for the next one.


update though, I have a feeling driving it around Anderson some and then back home with the pump not making pressure may of damaged the rack. Now once in a while its a bit hard to steer intermittantly. I'm gonna try and flush the fluid this week and see if that helps any.
