Yeah, it sucks when you need to go to work and it's the only car you have to drive. I had do my rod bearings, but I couldn't because I usually only had one day off a week, so I had no choice but to run it. And then CLUNK. It had actually locked up from poor oil pressure. So I waited a day, and it turned over! But it ran for about ten seconds and THEN spun a bearing. Luckily I had a backup car, which is really almost a necessary standard with SHO owners, haha. But I always see my car and just wish so hard that I would've taken the time to just do some preventative maintenance. And everybody else is right: It's best to do it now instead of having a dead SHO to either try and get a new engine or just sell a dead taurus. These cars are going to be so rare in a few years just because of bearing failures more than accidents, I'm sure.
