BAD ROLE MODEL
any suggestions from the guys that have done this. i'm gonna take pics along the way.
the catalyst for this was some ass clown in my apt complex deciding he needed the lens on my passenger corner light more than I did. so i went down to the junk yard and scored two more corner lamps, and two sable corner lamps.
it looks pretty straight forward,
1. bake both housings @ 200 degrees for about 10 minutes to soften the glue.
2.remove lenses from both housings and set aside, pull metal reflector out of sable housing and attempt to fit into taurus housing,
3. trim down sable lens to be the size of the taurus housing.
4. test fit everything and make final trim fit.
5. clean the ever loving crap out of everything, make em nice and clear.
6. use some sort of glue (this is where the help comes in, i'm thinking some sort of high temp epoxy since i live in AZ.) and place the trimmed lens and reflector in and on the taurus housing.
7. put on car, stand back, crack open a beer, admire and wish i had a police grille...
please feel free to add where needed.
