Ok, so i went to a local scrap yard and found a gen3 sub frame just laying on the ground i figured i just had to get it. I have searched and read all i could read on this swap but i think a more clear cut thread needs to be put together on the little details. I know the frame mounts to the body just like the others and the trans mount needs to be welded on and the gen3 spindles need to be used so on to questions.

Do the motor mounts need to be fabbed/swapped as well?
As far as steering the only needed change is custom lines?

A SLO subframe is best to use. I will be using a 98 SF- One person has recommended a 99 SF but I'm not sure why. The SLO is better because the rear motor mount mounting location is already there. You'll need to swap over the trans mount and create a mounting plate for the front motor mount.

You'll need to use the gen3 LCA's, spindles, caliper bolts, and ABS sensors and other misc bolts.

I would recommend the gen3 SHO ZF power steering rack/tie rods.

You'll also need a custom power steering line/s. I haven't made it that far on my project yet. I still need to transfer the trans mount over and fabricate the front plate. I hope to start/finish it this summer.

This sounds like a great project now that you have your lift. :)

Im not sure what year the subframe is , i know its a gen3. Its out of a slo, had the duratech motor in it if that matters. I only picked up the subframe for the time being because i didnt want to grab to much and end up not needing it, so i plan to go back and grab the spindles later on. So the gen3 sho rack is different from the slo rack, i planned to pick a new one from local aap because i have buddies that work there. Yes the lift will definitely help out on this project i was waiting to get that installed before i thought of doing the swap for sure. Does anybody know whats involved in getting custom lines made? Is it just the issue of swap fittings?

Yes the SLO rack is different than the SHO. Only the SHO had the ZF rack.
