OK, when that thread with the cable shifter came up, for giggles I clicked on the eBay listing. In the "you might be interested in" section there was a trunk spoiler for sale. Said it fit '93-95 SHO.

So help me out here. Shouldn't it fit all Gen II? (including my '92?) Is there some reason it wouldn't? Also, did all '93-95 come with a spoiler? Just curious.

And as long as I am here, does anyone recollect whether the spoiler was ever claimed to have lower drag or economy or other performance gains? Sometimes the Ford engineers would let such information slip....
Thanks in advance.

I put a spoiler from a 93 and 95 on two of my 92. On the 92, they didn't have some of the holes on the inside of the trunk to access the fasteners that hold the spoiler on.

Yes, all 93-95. 92 had the new body style without the spoiler. As stated above, the 92 does not have the predrilled holes in the trunk lid. You would have to do that yourself.

Question related to this subject (but on 1st gen)... Talking different spoilers yes, but, is there any kind of template or layout measurements for drilling the holes in the trunk lip that available anywhere? Pdf, FSM, something archived ?
The car I removed it from had 2 sets of hole... Probably oops moment for somebody!

I don't have a Gen 1, but what I did on a Gen 2, the spoiler sort of naturally lines up on the trunk. I put a couple of layers masking tape in the area where the mounting holes were. When you press down on the spoiler, it leaves an indentation on the tape. I have also tried putting some paint on the bottom of the holes so it leaves a mark on the tape.

Although the 92 was the first of the Gen II models, it still used the Gen 1 trunk lid. They didn't change it until 93!
