Gen 1 REMOTE Kelyless Entry

Just got done swapping the keyless module from my 93 parts car over to my 90. You have rewire the whole thing, which took a few nights of schematic reading, but in the end it all works well. Now I have keyless entry with a Ford remote, not just the keypad .

I've wondered what would be involved in doing that! Any more insight or a what wire to what wire chart for us other guys?

My 91+ has the dealer installed remote system.

Yeah, it came out nice. It's so nice to have the key fob now, I was not used to a car without one.

I still have to run wires to the horn and the parking lights for those features to work, but I'll do that another day. The main part is all done.

BTW, I LOVE your car. Mine is a white 90 with slicers, and I am planning to redo them in white.

You should have it already, you just need to get the proper key fob and then program it to the car.

right now, I hate it. the heater core filled the heater box with coolant.

How do I do that? Do I need to go to a dealership?

dwarf you should be able to buy it new from Autozone or some other parts store for pretty cheap. Do a search on the forums on how to program it I remember seeing a few post on how to do this. I'm looking into adding a key less remote to my 92 MTX at some point if I can figure it out.

Shame...two weeks ago there were three, count 'em, three, late Gen 2s with the complete RKE setups including wiring, etc. in one of the local pull-it-yourself junkyards.
