I decided to make a LED third brake light mod since my old bulbs almost melted the housing.

I took out the red lens and decided to use red led's.

I have better led's coming that are much brighter. I will probably put close to 66 in there to fill the housing :)

uses 12v 120mA

I am also working on sequential LED brake light/turn signals that will have animations. Let me know what you guys think

That looks pretty bright already. Go too bright and you might wind up getting rear ended cause you blinded the driver behind you.

Looks good man!

I'd give it a try to repair the LED third brake light in my Gen2. Either the LEDs burned out or maybe some of the resistors.

If you want to send it to me I can replace the LED's with new ones and check the rest of the hardware out?

Thanks man I really appreciate it.. but I'm in Mexico and I think the shipping would be a bit high, still I think this would be a great oportunity to try to remember what I learned about electronics back in college...worst scenario is that I burn the whole thing and just buy some of those LED strips :nut:

I plan to have replacements ready for drop-in within a month or so:)
