Hey I went to the station tonight and filled up.. The place near my moms has Unleaded and Super (only 2 kinds) priced @ 2.09/Gal. Just wondering what you folks are paying at the pump. They didn't have Premium so i filled with Super since its the same price as Regular...

for those of you using premium... youre just padding the oil execs pocketbooks... you dont need to run premium unless your motor pings

Maybe the gas station is going out of business and they are trying to get rid of their fuel.

A few in southern WI have gone under.

it says "premium recommended" on the dash and thats good enough for me. i dont drive mine daily so i dont mind spending the extra on premium. **** i even put premium in my lawn mower according to the owners manual thats what they want you to run in it. besides its only like 3 dollar difference to a tank between reg and premium big deal.

i agree... and ive seen it said that in the manual too... but premium back in the day was something like 91... now were up to 93, or in dave's case 104 race gas :laugh_ti:

i will run premuim, dont get me wrong, and i have in the past... like you said its only $3 difference... but if youre "pinched" on cash or whatever, you dont NEED to run premium... there is no damage to be done unless youre pinging

EVERYBODY, I DON'T KNOW IF YOU'VE HEARD THIS OR NOT BUT THERE IS A NATIONAL THING FLOATING AROUND SAYING DO NOT BUY GAS ON MAY 15!! I guess this has been done before and gas dropped 30 cents the next day. So I guess it's worth a shot. So don't buy gas next Tuesday! And by the way, I paid $3.01 yesterday, unfortunately thats the lowest I've seen in a couple weeks.

that will do nothing... sooner or later people will buy gas... and the price will correct itself (if it has to at all)... if we buy less gas on the whole, then prices will go down, but for one day, its not gonna do anything... simple economics

Yeah people need to cut back drastically for a longer period of time, one day isn’t going to do much it might help, but people will either get gas the day before or after so the gas companies get their money at the most a day or two later

In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

I'm not holding a gun to anyones head. I know it's only one day but it is still something. Just figured I'd pass the word...

I agree. You have to cut back for more than 1 day. But still it may do something if the word gets out to the rite people.

BTW Dan it is 110 oct. and yes its Leaded.
