Hey everyone...New here...first post and I hope it helps someone...

Bought my 94 ATX about 2 mths ago...freaky electrical probs....

After tearing out the dash board and pain stakingly going thru the entire harness...:nut:... Still couldnt find anything.

I decided to test by pulling out the keyless entry module and when I grabbed it, some other mystery harness fell out from behind it and was melted together!!! It wasnt plugged into anything but I seperated the wires and voila...no more blown fuses. I still cant find the other end of the harness, but after digging through alldatadiy.com, I figured out it was the harness connector for the rear defrosters. It seems it was pinched behind the keyless entry box and cut on the sheetmetal.

2 more problems remain...after I fixed that, I no longer have blinkers, dash lights, tail lights, ect....Replaced the flasher and Multifuntion switch...no luck..(still have working hazards)...Any suggestions?

Lastly, I have a problem that when I have the fuse in the 5 position, it drains the battery QUICK...Love the car, Hate the electrical system.

BTW, thanks everyone for all the great posts...Been helping alot.

Forgot to mention, when I had the dash back on, but all the switches and devices unplugged (Headlight, autolamp/dimmer, foglight, radio, cdplayer, EATC...ect) it was still draining the batt FAST...it even pulls so much juice when the car is running (but low bat) that it causes the EATC and radio to freak out... I have a feeling its a stuck relay somewhere...Any thoughts on anything like this?

I know that its ******* the alternator to just jump the car, and let it charge the batt, but...when I do do that, it does charge the batt right up...so I dont think I have a problem with that stuff. (New batt and batt cables) plug plug that fuse back in and wham....mega drain...
