Does anyone know where I can get another fuel tank ring? My tank (93 ATX) is still leaking after I put in new fuel pump and I have tried two gaskets. I think my ring is to bent up (180K) to completely seal.
Thanks,
Eric

I'd try and post in the WTB section of the forum. Alfitz.com would probably be able to supply you with one also. If you want a new one I bet your dealer could get you one, or FordPartsNetwork.com could probably get you one also. I assume you mean the ring that tightens the fuel pump in the tank. If you have replaced the O-ring twice and it still leaks their is multiple things to look at. Is the surfaces the O-ring is sealing clean and flush? Once all of that is established I would look at the ring. Acually it would be a higher possibility that the fuel pump is bent more so than the ring because the ring simply pushes the fuel pump down and is not part of the sealing surfaces.

I have checked several times the gasket ring seat and ensured the gasket is not cut or damaged. I have installed this several times on several SHO's, but I have never had a tank leak like this one.

Well, the ring simply pushes the fuel pump assembly down, it itself is not a sealing surface. I would be more inclined to think that the fuel pump mounting surface is bent than the ring. Have you examined the fuel pump sealing surface to see if it is warped or bent, even slightly?

I had a similar problem when installing a new pump. I ended up bending down the holding tabs and a bit of the tank, just enough to really tighten down the ring. No more leaks.
