Anyone ever have problems with the wiring. I have an issue with my gauge displaying the wrong amt of fuel now and then, and it caused me to run out of gas the other day. SO now it is time to fix it. I want to start with the easy stuff first, so I'm gonna hook up a spare gauge to the wiring.

Anyone know where the wires are routed? I think something might be grounding out somewhere.

I don't have the wiring diagrams close right now, but there is an electronic module in the dash called a "slosh module". It electronically dampens the needle movement as the fuel rapidly moves the sender in the tank. I guess a gas gauge that bounces up and down like a tach needle isn't too usefull. My guess is the sender in the tank is bad, because it is the hardest to get to!!!

the only problem with that is that the sender was replaced back in 99 when the fuel pump was done by the dealer. Granted it was pump first, then sender.

95% of the time it works just fine, but now and then it goes all screwy for a few days. I figured I'd hit the easier stuff first before thinking about dropping the tank. Plus that would give me some time to save for a 190lph pump cause if I'm gonna do the sender, might as well put a better pump in there for the future. plus I don't think that the pump that's in there now is all that healthy, but my fuel pressure tester will be here on saturday.
