Front Speakers On 96

my 96 has the jbl system and it sounds ok but the front speakers and tweeters sound really muffled back sounds great but when you try to check the front sounds like crap any ideas??

yea it probably is but not sure if that is the problem when you adjust the level to the front you hardly hear anything and the tweeters do not work at all.

Try hooking another speaker in the front without mounting it and see if it works. If not then there's a wiring or amp problem. You've probably reached the lifespan of the oem speakers. I just changed mine and there is a world of difference.

I went with these in front-http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIOTSC1653
about $100 on ebay and some left over Infinitys in the rear. I think I spent just under that last year with a different seller on ebay.
The round speakers might need an adapter. I can find you a cheap one from a seller I have saved on the computer somewhere if you need it.


You can go cheaper by going with 2 or 3 way speakers instead of seperates, going with oem size 5x7" in front, or if you want a round speaker you could go smaller with a 5 1/4" set.
