KYBs are garbage in all generations SHO. As hawkeye said, great at first, but the honeymoon is over real quick.

THose that wore out quickly, either put them on with lowering springs, or with old worn out and sagging springs, then blamed the strut when they softened. I formerly put in Monores with the old worn springs, and guess what; they softened up like marshmellows after about 5k.
The KYB full strut is a high quality assembly. A few on the forum have them installed and say they work great.

They're wrong. That, or their previous struts were so hotdogdownahallwayish in nature, using hood struts would have been a remarkable improvement for them.
