I live in IL and will not put the license plate on until I get pulled over for it. Been that way for about 14 months so far. I'm sure it's inevitable, but a front license plate is hideous.

The Driverbright kit is a common recommendation and it is the one i used. i purchased the full kit of the DRL/Courtesy Light Adapter/Mirror puddle light and the 6000K HID Bulb Kit. Dan also tossed in two LED License plate lights at no charge. If you order the HID Bulb kit tell them it is an SHO that already has the HID and you only need the D3S Bulbs only. The Full kit is for the Limited and below to convert the full lens over to HID. Still plug and play though. Read some of the traffic on this forum on the D3S bulbs they are a bit tricky buty patience and small hands pay off in the long run. Dan Smith (Owner) is good people and is very good about answering phones and helping with install. You could get your whole exterior DRL/Headlight/Mirror entry lights and license plates set for around $300 so a decent deal and not overly complicated with some basic to moderate electrical and mechanical knowledge and understanding.

Another thumbs up for them. Car looks great, install can seem a bit intimidating at first but it is not bad at all.

Order the whole Enchilada for the Taurus DRL, Puddle lamps, and HID Bulbs....remember Tell Dan that you already have the HID as OEM and you only need the D3S Bulbs that should make it about $30-40 cheaper.

NOTE: SHO models will only need the D3S Bulb.....SE/SEL and Limited will need the HID Conversion with Ballast, bulbs and resistors.

Hi. New to the forum. I bought my '13 SHO last summer, and the first thing I did was install a removable front license plate bracket. I bought mine from Amazon. The hardware provided is totally inadequate! They expect you to run four self-tapping screws through your lower valance to attach the bracket. Luckily I had a couple spare captive nuts left over from old projects that used on the inside of the valance to give the nuts something to hold on to. I rarely have it on the car, but it held up on a 1200 mile road trip last summer. The plate resides in my trunk 99% of the time. :)
