Front 60k Question

About half-way through the front 60k of my '93 ATX. One quick question though.

I'm curious about the tube, I believe the coolant bypass line, that fits into the back of the water pump, is that supposed to very stable, or flexible and move around a lot? Mine seems to have some significant play with it.

Just want to avoid any confusion down the road.

It does move around a lot, just make sure that it seals correctly when you install the water pump. And use new O rings on the connection.
