Alright, his stereo hasn't worked since summer. It turns on but produces no music. A strange fuzz come through the speakers so they are getting power too .We checked the fallowing things also...

Yes the fuse is good.

Replaced the head unit with another.

Amp and deck is getting power.

So I assume that a wire is bad. Anyone have any other suggestions or comments? Any tips on finding the wire quicker? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank...Laters!

Is the red ground wire under the dash still in place? Does he have the JBL system? Have any of the wires been cut and spliced before? Anything in the system aftermarket? Have you tried a different amp?

If the red ground wire were not in place, would the stereo still turn on? The amp is getting power and appears fine. (But what do I know) The stereo is completely stock, and nothing has been cut or spliced. When we had it out I forgot to check if all the wires were in the wiring harness, but I think I would of noticed...
