Rod Bearings and Clutch?
Just wanted to give an update.
In the last week or 2 I have been noticing a strange feeling the clutch pedal. I pm'd sdpatt about, and his description was:
So in light of this, I am wondering the possiblity of NOT doing the front 60k w/rod bearings, but to do the rod bearings and replacing the clutch, TOB, and flywheel. Give me some feed back... and we can go from there. Like tools and equipment needed.
I am really GREEN, a NOOB and have never ever replaced a clutch in anything. I really need some guidance and help in getting this accomplished. I know that Eric V wants to get his MTX trans swapped, so maybe we can do both with the right equipment, and space permitting.
I am placing an order for a clutch and flywheel today, in an attempt to have it before next Saturday's meet on the 17th.

I saw the results of this condition when I repalced my last clutch. With the TOB installed correctly and the cable tensioned regularly (whenever you think of lifting the clutch pedal with your foot), even the standard TOB can last 150,000 or more miles (and counting).
Sorry,
