any chance you can post of pics of how the lower intake is set up i have plans to do this to mine here in the next year...
thanks!
pics for sure! lol i also wanna see the bottom of the upper intake deal.

First off.. is it smart to just have an "open air box" for the forced induction to the cylinder heads? If memory served me right, I think something should be a little "organized"... I dunno.. tell me how it's done.. I'm learning as I read.
Also, did you make your lower risers yourself?

Makes since Eric.. thanks
So.. SHO U UP (sorry.. don't know you by name.... yet!), you are still using the stock LIM? All you got rid of was the upper intake horns and surge tank correct?
Also.. is this "kit" still available.. or is like a made to order kind of thing..?
Sell the setup and go turbo. I would be interested in seeing a turbo setup from Doug.

Turbo.. interesting.. if it were a remote... I don't think there would be another room for the tubes.. would there be? (I guess you could always make room for it)
My name is Nick by the way ****

Yeah.. I'm hoping so!
I don't think it would be too difficult either, would it? Like I said.. I'm new.. and very dumb on this.. but I'm looking over some sites on how to add a turbo.. it costs some $$$, but the concept is very simple.. I think just getting the tubes hooked up would be the most difficult part.
**EDIT
Upon further investigation.. I find it's simple to add (besides getting the fitting of all the parts together), but when it comes to tuning to avoid knock could prove pretty hard.. am I correct here? What would be the hardest thing of fitting a turbo on one of our v8's?
I really think this is the coolest V8 thread we've had in quite a while. Thanks for the updates and pictures.
What type of damage is being done due to pinging? I know the A/F explodes before TDC... but is the explosion cause damage because the exhaust valves aren't opening soon enough.. or?
I'm not really sure what kinda of damage it will do since everything is mechanical (besides the firing of the spark plug) at that point.
I guess the detonation must be worse than I'm thinking of!
