Hey, all ya gotta do is clean one up real pretty but remember all your shiny bits belong to OffroadSho Tom.
Yea well valve springs have not moved in 32 years so that would be the first issue.
Do u still have this?Description:
The engine was originally intended for training purposes by Ford Motor Company back in 1989 but was never used. The engine is located in Mason Ohio. Pictures are attached below. Here are the comments from the seller:
· It’s a SHO 3.0L V6
· It appears to be new and never has been disassembled. Still strapped in the shipping crate.
· It’s a fully dressed engine. Wiring, complete ignition system, complete fuel system, front accessories with FEAD belt, and intake & exhaust manifolds, flywheel and engine accessories including alternator, power steering pump and A/C compressor.
· I found what appears to be a build date on the cylinder head, if I’m reading it correctly, it was built in 1988.
· Engine turns over freely
Although this engine is new and has never been used, it is sold “as is”, and there is no warranty of any kind applicable.
With prior arrangements, the engine could be inspected at the Mason, Ohio facility.
Accepting Bids:
The Opening Bid will be $1,500. So, the first Bid must be $1,500 or greater. Bids will be accepted until Thursday, 10/10/2019, at 8:00 PM EDT.
Enter the Bids as Comments below. The Bid should contain: The word Bid, the dollar amount, as well as your actual (not Forum) name.
Now, we are not professional auctioneers! If there are bids coming in at the deadline above, I will wait until the bidding stops. Figure on waiting 15-30 minutes after the apparent last bid before I declare a winner. My decision, at that point, is final. The winning bidder will have a reasonable period of time to make arrangements with the seller. If the deal with the winning Bidder falls through, for any reason, the engine will be offered to each successive bidder, at their final bid price.
Purchase and Pick-Up Logistics:
The winning bidder will be put in contact with the seller, to make payment and pick-up/delivery arrangements. For payment, the statement I received was: “We would prefer COD but could work with the winning bidder through Pay Pal if necessary”.
As was mentioned, the engine is in Mason Ohio. There are a few options for taking ownership of the engine:
1. Picking it up at the Mason Ohio facility. The facility has a forklift so it could load it on to a truck. This is the best solution.
2. Delivery to your location. The buyer would need to arrange delivery (I’m sure this won’t be cheap).
3. Arranged Delivery. The seller could arrange free delivery somewhere between Mason, OH and the Milwaukee, WI area If the delivery date and time can be flexible. The engine would be driven to the designated location however, the buyer would need to make arrangements to get it off his truck. This would be an option to work out.
Other Comments:
If you have questions, you can post them in the Comments below. Or, you could PM me directly, but if it’s a question that others could benefit from, I’ll post it here.
