fly wheel removal question....

im tryin to take the fly wheel off...but i cant get enough grip on it to hold whille i break the bolts loose...any suggetions....

im almost done with my motor swap... nothin special jus another 3.0....and i cant figure how to upload pics any help???..

thanks for any advice...john

put a 19mm socket with a breaker bar on the crank bolt.... let it spin and hit part of the suspension.

But from the sounds of it.. the motor is out of the car... so in that case, you could bolt a chain to the flywheel on one of the PP bolts, and then to the block. If you can use an impact, it would be best...

thanks man.... duh i never thought bout the other end....yea the motor is out...ive got another one but it didnt have a flywheel so i got to use the old one...appreciate the advice

Properly seat the wrench on the bolt head, whack the wrench with a mallet/hammer. The impact of the hammer will work against the rotational mass of the engine very nicely.
