Just doing some research for myself! I'd like all of your help, please.
If you have a first gen with intrax, eibach, cut moogs or stock moogs, saggy 13+ year old stockers or anything else, tell me your ride height! Measure from either the center of the hub(center of the wheel) to the fender, or the ground to the fender.(preferrably the hub to fender though ;) ). Can you also include what spring/strut combo you have? I'm trying to see if my springs are saggy enough that when I put lowering springs on my car, it will be taller instead of lower... I'm also trying to see what I should get(no opinions please, I'll ask for them later :p ) because I don't want to be too low(huge "speed" dip at the front of my neighborhood).

Thanks in advance!
Scott

I replied to your email ;)

And here you go for my MOOG cc ride height, with one coil removed from the fronts:

NotSOSlow: that looks like 2-3 inches of wheel gap. I also just installed Moogs and Sensetracs. Its riding real high in the front. I was going to cut a coil off but it looks like I'll go from 3.5 inches down to 2.5 or so. Wondering if I should cut more out of it.

If you have sagging rears already, Eibachs will bring up the rear slightly but will be 3/4" lower than OEM. The front will drop about 1". The Eibachs are a great choice for the street. The intrax/shoshop spring will sit lower and will bottom out frequently enough to **** you off.

running Tokico struts and modified Moog Cargo Coils, i have 14.5 in front and 11.5 in rear.

1 1/2 coil cut off at the front. the reason for the 1/2 coil was to retain stock spring geometry (ends on opposite sides).

1 coil cut off at the rear.

with 225/55/16 tires, the gap between tire and fender is about 1 inch. with my current 215/55/16 tires, theres about 2" gap.

Hmmm. I think I read before your ride bottoms out sometimes but the drop is pretty good. We have terrible roads here so I might stick with the single coil cut.

Kenny (NotSoSlowSHO) cut 1 coil off, i cut 1 1/2 coil. our front ride heights are the same. as i said, i only cut the extra half coil to maintain stock spring geometry. yes, i bottom out, when going slow over rough roads (dips, railroad crossings, potholes) but thats at a slow speed. with ANY suspension setup, bottomong out will occur worse at slower speeds than at higher speeds. one RR crossing in particular would guarantee id bottom out at 40 MPH. the same RR crossing at 70MPH was a lot smoother with no bottoming out.

bunch of saggy butts :snicker:

I like my forward rake. I didnt realize that the intrax created such a low rear-end in comparison to the fronts

Kenny, i have a slight rake to the rear, not much though...it may be 1/4 -3/8" lower in the rear. i may just buy another pair and experiment. while you want the long haul luxury, i want the ******** autocrossing feel. you have the CC839s out back, right ? and 858s up front ? isnt it odd how you cut one coil and i cut one and a half and our front ride heights are the same ? thank good ness for cheap priced springs :thumb:

Yes, yes, and **** yes :D

every time I drive the car the suspension setup amaizes me. The tires sure do suffer though :bonk:
I dropped into one of the local tire shops yesterday because of a 'shimmy' at ~85mph. Turns out I lost a stick on weight on the right front. Anyways, I was looking at some of the nice, much more performance oriented tires ;)

So, once Ive got decent tires, only the passengers will suffer :snicker:
