Hey guys! We're in San Antonio right now at the Hampton in. It's 7:30am Saturday morning and I figured I'd give an update on the Fall Run.

Most everyone left Dallas around 2pm - 3pm Friday and we got to San Antonio around 6:30. Traffic sucked pretty bad on the way down, and a biker gang held us up for a while, as well. However, we made short work of the biker gang and passed them at about 120mph, all the while dodging oncoming traffic on the two lane highway. MikeD. nearly went head on into a van, but luckily it moved onto the shoulder. Damn bikers!

Upon arrival in SA, everyone checked into the Hampton Inn and we were off to a car show in the area. Saw some REALLY nice cars! Had some Shelby Cobras (one of my personal favorites), there were some Mini Coopers that were tricked out, lots of nice old muscle cars...a Ferrari 550...a couple of Rx8s...all kinds of cars.

After the car show we found the wait at Chili's to be 1 hour and 15 minutes! So we trucked it across SA and found another Chili's closer to the hotel with only a 30-45 minute wait...and spent it at the bar. We met a couple more Fall Run attendees there at Chili's and then took pictures afterwords and Tony took someone for a ride in El Toro on the way back to the hotel.

Finally, around 11:30 we all hit the sack to prepare for the Fall Run Saturday morning around 10am. I'll post details after the event. Sorry more people could not be here. This promises to be a fun run this year. Sergio said that he couldn't make it in the SHO this year, so he'll try to bring his turbo Trans Am up on Sunday morning to race the supercharged SHOs!! That should be fun. Talk to you guys later.

Again I must apologize for losing everyone else before departing the forum for Chili's.

At 50 mph on the highway though, SA drivers tend to get edgy.

It was greating seeing you all again and of course meeting the new folks as well. I really hope I can make the next run, if it takes place in Jan or Feb that won't be an issue I don't think either.

Well we did all come down with 2-way radios SO next time we need to USE them and secondly before we jump on a freeway ramp we all need to pull to the right for all to get in line before jumping on to the frewway it happened more than once while there this trip. headbang

And it was great seeing you again Osiris.

Andy in the SC went on the run with us maybe you 2 can hook up some more down there. He says the nearest SC that he knows of is in Austin.

What a tremendous amount of fun that was! That was my first time (no longer a ******) and it was great. The new SFB's worked great and the new spark plug wires took me from an average 19 mpg to 25 mpg (measured at 85 mph)...

I'll tell more later, but for now I'll just say too bad for all those who didn't find the time to show up...tonight, I will download the video and post it (and some pics) tomorrow...
