Is there a way to send preamp out to the factory amp w/o a head unit Ex. mp3player. I have no good head unit and am tired of carrying my DeWalt jobsite radio in the back seat .I'm a broke ass or I'd just get another HU.

Thanks for the offer for sure . The shipping would be more than I've got in expendable cash tho (Less than 2o bones most times). I was thinking I could make a lead w/3.5mm plug and wire into factory harness . Guess I should pull out a schematic and try .

well first rip apart the casing on the 3.5mm plug and see how many wires are there. there are 3 signal wires on the factory amp plug. so if there is 3 on the 3.5 then just test and find out.

my other .02 is that if you are going to be using an ipod and then sending that output signal to the amplifier your pre-amp voltage will be EXTREMELY low so you may not hear it that well. and it could distort the sound rather easily.

but if your down for some messing around go ahead and see what happens :)
