Well, since I fried my factory amp, I was wondering if it was possible to completely bypass it? I don't want my factory amp to do any of the work, since it can't... I mean completely take it out of the mix. When I initially fried the amp, I could still tune the radio and everything, just no sound. So that makes me think that I only damaged the amplifying part of the RCU. I have a line level convertor, so if I could find signal that doesn't/hasn't gone through the factory amp, I'd be good. Also, if I dissconnect the speaker leads from the ********* connector in the back of the RCU, would everything else still work? I thought about cutting the speaker leads that come out of that bigger black connector, and just hooking my line level convertor up to those, but either way, that is still an "amplified signal". Or is it? If you guys have any ideas, hook me up. I don't want to buy another factory amplifier just to use a different 4-channel one instead... So please help me out here. Thanks.
