The absolute best and right way is to pull the lower rockers and door trim off and carefully mask the rear. Wash all that stuff down with soapy water/degraeser. Wipe it down again with a liberal amount of lacquer thinner or alcohol to get rid of all traces of any wax or trim product. Spray it first with a plastic adhesion promoter like SEM 38363, then spray with SEM 39143 Trim Black. At some point in the cleaning process you may wish to use a light scuff pad, and it's advisable to buy a set of panel retainers from the dealer as some will most likely break during removal. My cars a daily, I think it's been 3 years and it still looks great and you'll never have to worry about it looking grey and chalky ever again. You're also going to be shocked at how much dirt and gunk is hiding behind those trim panels. Those wipe on products are just a temporary bandaid. This an about $100 in material, looks great, and permanent. It's also real black, not blackish. I just walked out and snapped these pics, ran it through the wash yesterday.
