Engine running like pure crap (EEC no go)

For a few months now, my 93 ATX has been sputtering and hesitating like crazy, getting worse each day. Many poeple thought it would be the fuel filter, so I replaced that, and now it's almost worse. Now it's doesn't just go away at high RPMs, now it's always there. Someone suggested a bad timing belt tensioner. Also, i tried runnign codes and I can't get teh damn test to go for the life of me. It just sits there with the CE light on. any thoughts?

www.shotimes.com for the correct way to pull the codes, if you STILL cannot figure it out, have a local AutoZone run them for you. Hesitation can be caused by a number of things, (ie. plugs, wires, MAF, CPS, etc. etc.) First thing's first, check your codes. Your EEC is trying to tell you what is wrong.

I tried like 5 times to runt eh codes, usign the SHOtimes guide, and no luck. I've runt hem before without a hitch, but this time it jsut won't go like there's no continuity or soemthing. that's what's worrying me. Is it possible that the computer has gone?
