engine problem at 3000-4000 rpm

I had a fellow sho owner contact me and he is having a problem with his 94 atx when it gets to 3000 rpm. It has major hesitation problems and sometimes stalls. He says it runs fine until 3k and after 4000k when the secondary kick in. Any ideas what this might be?

X2...my 90 does this...not real bad, but enough to give some concen

Step 1: Unplug the MAF sensor.
Step 2: Drive the car
Step 3: say wow
Step 4: clean MAF sensor.

If no wow, then post back.

I have always had this problem only when the engine is still warming up. I've tossed in new MAF sensors as well as cleaned my old one out. Plugs/wires are good and so are all the sensors. I still can't figure out what the deal is.
