Engine Noise-Hot/Cold

Hey Gurus ,I need some advice. My MTX just started having valve train noise, whats wierd is that once you shut it down for 10-15min and start back up it goes away . 60K was done about 20K ago and has had no problems. If you let the car warm up before a drive the valve train noise doesnt happen 90% of the time. If I have to open it back up does anyone have some shims I could purchase and tools I could borrow? ( with a deposit of course)

Any ideas?

Did you not do the shims durring the 60k 20kmi ago?

Did you torque the crank bolt to spec? (possible crank cancer) causing timming to be off.

Did you check your codes?

Also it could be your bearings on their way out, how many miles on the car? That would cause a lack of lubrication on the top end and noise also.

just went through the codes a few weeks ago and replaced what was needed. Yup, did the shims 20K ago...been trouble free pretty much till now.
I have 143K on the motor, but the noise is only one shim from the sounds of things. Car seems to run fine, I was just curious as to why the noise comes and goes and if anyone has had a similar problem.
