I'm wondering if my SHO has a bad motor mount or not.
I have a Mid-West SHO intake on the car and I noticed that the bracket by the Intake made a hole in it. It seemed to have hit the Al. piping and sliced it open. For some reason I never thought that it was the fact that the Engine was moving a causing this to happen. I patched the hole with J.B Weld and it's fine, BUT I'm now wondering if my Motor Mounts are bad. I checked to see if the front one was bad by turning on the car, putting it in 1st and seeing if the passenger side moves more than the drivers side. It didnt seem like it moved enough to cause concern. There also isnt any polished marks on the passeneger side of the Intake Manifold where it might be hitting the hood. I think it may be because of the size of the Mid-West Intake that brings it closer to the bracket.
Any thoughts? Sorry for the long post.
